Planning your Perfect Wedding - 5 Months to Go

Late Summer is widely regarded as the perfect time to get married and for couples looking to exchange their vows within the beautiful region of Snowdonia, the Llyn Peninsula is the perfect place to go for your perfect wedding venue in Snowdonia. A truly remarkable region of the UK, providing a wide range of attractions and activities as well as some of the most outstanding scenery in the UK.

Thousands of couples choose Snowdonia as the perfect place for the very best day of their lives. As for Wedding accommodation within this absolute jewel of a town, it doesn’t get much better than the beautiful estate of Talhenbont Hall, which has a variety of packages designed to cater to the Bride, Groom, and Guests every need without ever compensating on service and quality.

With such idyllic settings notwithstanding, it’s the middle of May and time is ticking on for that perfect late summer wedding. We understand that right now you might be starting to sweat. The event itself might have turned from exciting to terrifying, and the idea of bells ringing might have turned into a hellish nightmarescape of venues, timelines, transportation and florist woes. Planning a wedding isn’t easy. We know this, but there’s absolutely no reason to worry. Until the date of your wedding, we’ve arranged a small checklist for those who need assistance.

The following checklist is intended as a guide for those that might be panicking some time into their wedding preparations. It assumes that the basics of picking guests, reserving an officiant, photographer, and a florist have already been covered, and is intended to serve as part of a running series of articles to help a couple prepare themselves for their big day.

Five Months to Go

Check on your wedding invitations - While some very high-quality free printables are available online, you may prefer to invest in some higher end wedding stationery Taunton  invitations, ask for samples of the finished invitations and revise them to suit your needs.

Select and Order the Cake - Some bakers require a long lead time, especially in the cases of unique and custom wedding cakes. We recommend that you start this early so you can attend several tastings from several bakers before committing. It’s your big day. It has to be right - and there’s nothing worse than having to make a decision you’re a little unhappy with for the sake of running out of time.

Purchase Wedding Shoes and Start Dress Fittings - Bring your nice, new, sparkly shoes along to your first fitting so your tailor can choose the appropriate length for your gown. Most tailors will provide alterations completely free of charge, so don’t approximate. Bring your shoes so everything’s right.

Schedule hair and makeup artists - Make a few appointments with local firms in order to try them out. Don’t be afraid to snap a photo at each appointment on your phone in order to compare results!

Begin Choosing your music - This one should be an ongoing task from now until the big day. After all, there’s nothing worse than five months after selection, the perfect song being butchered by overplay. Keep a running list of what you want and what you don’t want played, and keep it updated and relevant.

And finally relax. Everything that you’re supposed to do during this period to allow your tailors, bakers, and other helpers is about done, and you can take a big, long, deep breath. Phew!

Join us next month for even more to do to ensure that your special day isn’t also your most stressful.
